Few days back Google has sent out some really confusing messages giving a sharp warning to the webmasters. The messages said that the webmasters will be penalized as they are linking the other websites with their own sites. This message has created an uproar in the world of SEO and most of all webmasters are now panicking with this kind of declaration made by Google. But a number of experts are assuring that there is nothing to get confused as Google does not have the power to detect whether the links which are going to a website are a nasty attempt to ad positive links to that website and a good attempt for the competitor sites to generate negative reviews about that site. It is not possible for the site owner to send any message to the link builders requesting them as Google is unable to recognize them. The only thing they can do is to send requests to the webmasters.
Due to some recent updates such as Penguin and Panda fresh and some major chunk of unnatural link notification has developed a fear amongst the webmasters. A number of search engine optimisers even started reviewing their link profiles in the fear of getting demoted in the search result displayed buy Google.
Apart from that a number of low cost website also feared that they may lose their position in the search result if their competitor sites or organisation post some spam links in their site or do some negative SEO in favour of their site. Moreover, there are a few webmaster, who even charge money if you request them to remove those spam links from the site.
The entire SEO world was left with lots of questions which do not have any answer till date. The questions were how can they avoid the penalty? How long it will take to fix the matter? And what is the process following which we can identify a good or a bad link? Many people love to think that this is just a warning and no action will be needed finally. But if this is true then there was no point of making such announcement by Google.
After scattering the entire Search Engine optimisation market and crapping out a number of small businesses the engineers working for Google has finally spoken out. Now they are assuring everybody that there is nothing to be worried as Google has no intention of screwing up their jobs and businesses. It was just an attempt to make Google more transparent.
Finally, after discussing all these we can say that it was just an wakeup call made by Google for the webmasters informing them that some of the links displayed on their sites are not natural and Google have just distrusted them without any penalty. Now it is the sole responsibility of the webmasters who were spared for the first time to work on those links and they can send the reconsideration request only after they remove all the spammy looking links.

Yes – I do agree. Normally when Google sends you a message with a link type warning it means that unnatural link building has been detected by their algorithm in one way or another – Especially when it comes to old website, as they have a long history of links (pre panda and penguin) to go through if they already did not have to – and is one message you won’t be able to ignore or you will face most likely a penalty.
