Can You Learn While You Sleep?

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

We are all very busy in the modern world. Society is rushing forward so fast and we are getting busier and busier. We have our jobs to contend with, our families, our hobbies and a host of other commitments. Taking up a new hobby can be very tricky to fit into our lives, so when someone considers taking up something like learning a new language then this can be difficult. As a result we have always considered whether it is possible to learn while you sleep. Are we able to shut down and night and wake up in the morning full of knowledge?

It all seems very tempting. Why bother paying all of that money and spending all of that time going to things like language classes when you can quite easily learn everything you need to know during the night. Most of us are so busy with our modern lives that we are not able to spare anything at all with certain outside interests. How great would it be if you didn’t have to sacrifice anything at all but could quite easily learn during your sleep?

The most effective thing that you can do in order to learn a little bit about whether this might work is to ask someone who has already been there are done it. Such people will tell you that there is a lot more involved that just sleep. You will need to write out a vocal list that you learn form for fifteen minutes in the morning and fifteen in the evening before you go to sleep. All this is supposed to stimulate your mind when you are sleep, but you would expect to learn regardless if you were doing this.

Some people will tell you there is nothing that can replace good old fashioned learning techniques. Your mum will have told you at some point in your life to make sure that you are fully rested before you have a big event coming up the following day. Sleep is very important in learning, but that does not necessarily mean that you will be able to learn things and take on additional information during the night.

The reason for this is because we go through different stages during our sleep. During certain times our minds are receptive to the possibility of taking on information. You need to make sure that any program you look at maximizes the chances of you retaining the information you hear while you’re sleeping.

The idea of learning when you are sound asleep is feasible and there are many people currently doing just this. We go through different stages of sleep during our cycle and at some points our minds are receptive. You just need to find the right program so that you can experience sleep learning for yourself.

For the best program to help you learn while you sleep take a look at this great sleep programming system.

The Fastest Method to Make Your Ex Boyfriend Want You Back

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

Men can be so much trouble for a woman. Of course, much of this frustration comes from the fact that us men and women just don’t have a very good understanding of each other. This conflict becomes most apparent after a break up, where a woman is often left feeling very hurt and confused. If you’re sick of being lonely and feel like you want your boyfriend, listen up because I’m going to give you some advice.

First of all, you want to make sure that your ex boyfriend is actually worth your effort. Take a few minutes, and really think about that if you have to. If you imagine your future without your ex boyfriend, does it seem better, or worse?

If he’s truly one of the good ones and you want nothing more than to just be happy with him, then perhaps you had something real and somewhere along the line it got murky and now you’re broken up. Now, I want you to think about something.

The next thing I want you to think about is this: what was it that made this guy your boyfriend? It was undoubtedly the strong emotions he felt for you, and the way you felt about him in return. Did you ever feel in the beginning that he was hardly ever out of your thoughts, and you couldn’t go a day without being near him? That’s what is called “chemistry” or simply put, “love.”

Unfortunately it seems that somehow the strength of his emotions for you has weakened. Unfortunately, this tends to happen in long term relationships if you don’t know the proper way to manage your relationship.

My point is that if you really want your boyfriend back, then you have to begin to focus on rebuilding that lost spark of attraction. You can’t convince your ex to come back to you; he left you for emotional reasons. Recharging his feelings for you is the key.

If you’d rather just follow a step by step plan to get your boyfriend back, then consider How Do I Get Him Back Ebook. It’s well worth your money and time.

Learning How To Break A Bad Habit

Friday, November 27th, 2009

Knowing how to break a bad habit quickly is as easy as ending bad habits as soon as they start since all of the power is in your hands. Nonetheless, there are strategies available to make the process easier. Because oftentimes it seems that whatever we do, we can’t break some of our worst habits.

1) Punish yourself each time you allow yourself to complete the bad habit. If you find yourself being too lazy, then your punishment will be cutting out your favorite food until you start exercising again. Or wrap a rubber band round your wrist and “snap” each time you catch yourself indulging in your habit.

2) Decide independently and with confidence that this bad habit is over. Doctors believe that repeating a message out-loud to oneself is an effective strategy for erasing bad habits over the short- and long-term. If you do not clean your house enough then tell yourself repeatedly that “I like cleaning my house.” Before you know it, you will clean the house!

3) Believe that you are in control of the habit instead of the other way around. Recognize that once you recognize a habit as bad, you have already completed 99 percent of the work and the rest all depends on your confidence level. You must believe that you can do this.

4) Replace bad habits with good habits. If you sleep too much, then start packing your schedule with activities that a) are good for you and b) will require that you sleep less. This will help substantially.

5) Evaluate yourself constantly to ensure that you are not picking up bad habits. Bad habits have a way of sneaking up on people, because they tend to be habits that fit comfortably into one’s everyday life style.

6) Reward yourself each time you do not indulge in the bad habit. If your bad habit is that you do not like to clean, then reward yourself for each week that you keep a clean house. You will get rid of the habit and insert a routine of getting presents into your life.

For more help to break a bad habit take a look at these habit busting secrets.

How To Pay Attention - Things You Can Do

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

There will always be situations we come across where we can not keep up with what is going on because of one reason or another. Even with the topic being boring or something you have no interest in, there are things to try and learn on how to pay attention.

Sit as close to the front as you can muster. The front would be the first three rows of the classroom. Up here is where the people who want to be in this class are and this area is where the teacher will notice first. If you are seen daydreaming or not paying attention, you run the risk of being called on and not knowing what is going on in the class.

Sit by someone who sparks an interest in you. Use them as a way to keep yourself attentive. Discuss class topics with them, ask questions of them or just give friendly looks and smiles.

Make eye contact with the teacher. Making eye contact with the teacher will force you to focus on the teacher as they walk around the room and go back and forth to the blackboard. While making eye contact, nod when you understand what is being said and make faces when you do not understand. This will let the teacher know you are paying attention.

Ask questions in class or participate in the class discussion. Doing these will help you to pay attention because to be involved and not sound foolish, you need to know what is being taught in the class and to be aware of what has been taking place in the class.

All during the class take notes. To take notes, you will need to be alert with the class so you know what is going on and what the important points are that need to be written down. Keep your hands and mind busy and that will make the class go by faster.

There will always be situations where you do not want to be there and it is very difficult to concentrate. By doing a few key items, you will be able to keep your mind where it is supposed to be and not wandering off.

Weathering The Storm Of Video Games Adrenaline Addiction

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

Most of us have played video games. As far back as Pong on the Atari, video games have been a large staple in the daily lives of many Americans. Now, these same Americans are spending billions of dollars to stay current with the latest games and systems every single year. Some of these buyers simply cannot stop themselves from buying, because they cannot stop themselves from playing. The thrill is too great and to the gamers, the stakes are high. I will delve a little deeper into video games adrenaline addiction.

Video games similarly release a slew of chemicals throughout your body when playing a game that you become engulfed enough in. For the time your mind may not believe entirely that this world exists, but it believes enough that it exists and that your decisions vastly affect the outcomes of the lives that could be at stake.

You will see this kind of heightened excitement presented as an emotional high through high action games and first person shooter perspectives. This is becoming a common set up for action games, because it allows the player to literally feel as though they are part of the action as much as they can.

Many gamers will not see these effects, as they can easily discern emotions between real life and the games that they play. And truthfully, adrenaline addiction in terms of gaming is just the start of a downward spiral in a greater cycle of an addiction to playing.

With little effort, someone addicted to the high from their gaming tactics and productive decision making skills can find it difficult to quit gaming for any length of time. Much like any other addiction, other aspects of the addict’s life begin to suffer in accordance with their new focus. For instance, someone who is addicted to gaming might show some of these tell tale signs: strained relationships with family and friends, trouble sleeping, or decreasing hygiene.

As ridiculous as it sounds, video games can easily be as addicting as any other controlled substance. Most often, those that are addicted are only addicted to the adrenaline that is released through intense game play, but even this can get out of control. The best thing to do is to ensure there are limitations on game play for everyone in the house.

5 Steps To Attaining Your New Years Resolutions

Sunday, November 15th, 2009

If you’re not really a goal oriented person and your struggling to achieve your goals then setting New Years resolutions will help you a great deal. New Year’s resolutions are targets set before the beginning of the year that are supposed to have been achieved before the year is over. These are, by far, the best ways to achieve your desires, dreams and wishes. Everyone wants to succeed, so the 5 tips below will help you to achieve your resolutions for the upcoming year.

Take a piece of paper or chart and make a list of all your resolution. The next thing is creating a timeline that has particular goals for particular months. Writing down your goals puts your mind in the frame of achieving and clears away the blur that comes with intentions set in your mind alone. A chart is a constant remind of what needs to be done and it puts valuable pressure on you to perform.

The list of goals is rarely long in most cases. The reason is that the objectives would have been set in concentrate form without being broken down. Break down your resolutions to small goals that are projected over a series of months or weeks. Goals set in this way appear more attainable than skeletal ones because attaining small goals gives you a more immediate sense of achievement than concentrate goals that take more time to accomplish.

Immediately set out to achieve what you have listed down. You don’t have to wait until the 2nd of January to start working; the 1st is a very good starting point. Somehow you get the impression that you’re focused and determined. It is these feeling that motivate us to aspire for more of what we wish for.

Share your resolutions with people close to you, but not everyone. The traditional practice in our family of discussing our goals helped a great deal. One thing is certain: whenever anyone was losing sight of their goals anyone in the family would politely remind you to refocus. This added pressure is good because if you don’t tell anyone you’re more likely to lose concentration and less people will be obliged to help out when times get hard.

Ticking the objectives you have met is a sure-fire way of ensuring that you’re motivated to continue striving hard for your ambitions. This has a sense of accomplishment that is beyond any other feeling of motivation, use it to your advantage.

One of the best ways to achieve New Year’s resolutions is to stop all your negative self talk from getting in the way.
